Introductory
diving is designed for people who have never dived
before.
This
is an easy and spectacular way of interacting with
the marine life on the Great Barrier Reef.
A
simple step by step introduction to the underwater
world starts with a brief medical questionnaire and
short talk about the basic rules of diving.
We
then take you to the comfort and safety of the sand
cay where you stand in waist deep water and practise
breathing through the Scuba Equipment.
Once
comfortable with the equipment, you practise a few
basic practical skills in the shallow water.
Then
its off to see the spectacular aquatic life on the
Great Barrier Reef interacting with the many different
species of Sea Cucumbers, Star Fish and Giant Clams
as well as the endless types of Coral and Fish life.
After
about 30 minutes of swimming through colourful shoals
of fish including Spangled Emporer and Yellowtail
Fusiliers you will arrive under the boat to meet our
2 resident Estuary Cod (Grouper) Spot & Dot.
After
a tickle under the chin of these friendly fish we
return to the surface and relive your fantastic diving
experience, enjoy your buffet lunch in our air-conditioned
saloon or up on the sundeck overlooking the picturesque
Beaver Cay marine sanctury. |
